Health Careers Summer Club


The Health Careers Summer Club provides a 2 week, interactive health career exploration program in which participants learn about community health issues, tour health facilities and schools, and gain 40 hours of relevant community service.  Available to students between 10th grade and sophomore year of college.

The CHSC exposes students to health careers through service learning experiences and helps prepare them for professional job searches and school applications.  Available to CUNY City College sophomores and juniors.  Apply through the City College website.

Community Health Experience provides hands-on experience through non-clinical internships for future doctors who have expressed interest in working in under-served communities.  Available to second-year NYCOM medical students.

NERA MedPrep

MedPrep is a free, three year summer program designed to give students from underrepresented and/or economically challenged backgrounds a leg up in approaching the MCAT and medical school.  For New York City and New Jersey resident college freshmen and sophomores.  Apply at the NERA MedPrep site.
